Half of what I do is not on this website. People ask me for something they read about, or something they saw from the boat, and we work it out. This page is here so you know you can ask.
What people ask me for
A private boat for the whole day. The three islands at your own pace, with the stops you choose and a long lunch somewhere quiet.
Island hopping. Breakfast on one island, snorkeling off the second, sunset on the third, back when you feel like it.
Fishing with local fishermen. Out before dawn with people who have done this their whole life. Not a show put on for tourists — the real thing, which is slower and better.
A sunrise photo session. On the water with the volcano behind you, from the boat or from a paddle board, photos included.
Transfers. Boat and hotel transfers between Lombok, the three islands and the harbours, arranged so you are not standing around at Bangsal with your bags.
A day over on Lombok. There is a whole island forty minutes away that most visitors to the Gilis never set foot on.
How it works
Send me a message with what you have in mind, your dates and how many you are. I tell you honestly whether it is possible that week, what it costs, and what I would change to make it better. Nothing is booked until you say yes, and you pay in cash on the day.
If what you want needs someone I do not know personally, I will say so rather than improvise. Most things here run on who you know, and I would rather send you to the right person than take the booking.
Families, couples, small groups
Most custom trips are families who want calm water and a short day, couples who want to be alone somewhere, or small groups celebrating something. All three are easier on a private boat than on a shared one, and cheaper per person than people expect once you are four or more.

Questions people ask
How far in advance should I ask? +
A day or two is usually enough for a boat. For anything involving other people — fishermen, transfers, a trip on Lombok — give me three or four days.
Can you organise something for a group of ten? +
Yes, with a bigger boat or two boats. Tell me the number first, because it changes the price and sometimes the route.
What if the weather ruins the plan? +
We move it, or we change it into something that works that day, or you pay nothing. I will tell you the evening before what the conditions look like.
